Choose a 48A hardwired J1772 charger for a 2024-2026 Equinox EV. Choose NACS for a 2027 vehicle. A 40A plug-in station remains a practical option when the electrical-service upgrade would outweigh the modest speed gain.

Does the 2026 Equinox EV have a NACS port?
No. Chevrolet's 2026 model uses CCS1/J1772 and can access compatible Tesla Superchargers with a GM-approved NACS DC adapter. Chevrolet lists native NACS for the 2027 Equinox EV.
Can the GM NACS DC adapter connect to a home charger?
No. Chevrolet says the DC adapter is for compatible fast chargers. Home Level 2 charging requires the vehicle's AC connector or a separately approved AC adapter.
Is 40A or 48A better for the Equinox EV?
